Natural Gas Extraction: In shale gas and conventional natural gas extraction, it is used to compress low-pressure natural gas (0.1-1 MPa) at the wellhead to high pressure (5-20 MPa), facilitating transportation via gathering pipelines to processing plants and improving extraction efficiency.

Long-Distance Pipeline Transportation: As a pipeline booster, it compresses natural gas to 6-10 MPa, minimizing pressure loss during long-distance transportation and ensuring stable gas delivery to city gates or industrial parks.

City Gas Distribution: Before depressurizing high-pressure natural gas at city gates, compressors provide buffer storage and pressure regulation, ensuring a stable supply of residential and industrial gas.

CNG/LNG Production: At compressed natural gas (CNG) filling stations, natural gas is compressed to 20-25 MPa and stored in gas cylinders.
